VivaLift!® Tilt

Exclusive VivaLift!® Tilt gives the Ultra more positioning flexibility than a traditional power recliner.

Rather than relying only on the backrest and footrest, the Ultra pivots from the rear of the chair and raises the front portion of the seat. This movement can position the knees above heart level while distributing the user’s position along the chair for a comfortable weightless-style experience.

When combined with True-Infinite positioning, VivaLift! Tilt gives users more flexibility to find a preferred position for reading, watching television, elevating the legs, resting, or relaxing.

True-Infinite Positioning

The Ultra’s True-Infinite positioning system allows the backrest and footrest to move independently from one another.

Instead of being limited to a few preset positions, users can adjust different areas of the recliner individually to create a seating position that better matches their comfort preferences.

HCPCS Code: E0627 – Electric Seat Lift Mechanism

The VivaLift!® Ultra PLR4955L contains an electrically operated seat-lift mechanism associated with HCPCS E0627. Pride identifies E0627 as the recommended HCPCS code for the seat-lift mechanism and notes that coding does not guarantee reimbursement.

Medicare may cover the medically necessary electric seat-lift mechanism portion of the chair when applicable requirements are met. The upholstered furniture or recliner portion itself is generally not covered as durable medical equipment.

Coverage can require the seat-lift mechanism to be medically necessary and prescribed as part of a treating practitioner’s course of treatment. Appropriate medical documentation and applicable Medicare eligibility requirements must be satisfied.

After the Medicare Part B deductible is met, the beneficiary generally pays 20% of the Medicare-approved amount for qualifying covered DME when the supplier accepts assignment.
