The Radiance includes heating pads in three key comfort areas: the shoulders, lumbar region, and seat. The hand control allows users to turn the heat system on or off and select the preferred heat level.

Easy-to-Use Toggle Remote

The ergonomically designed hand control keeps the chair’s main comfort settings within easy reach. A center toggle controls lift and recline movement, while dedicated buttons allow independent adjustment of the headrest, lumbar support, backrest, and legrest.

Two programmable memory buttons allow you to save favorite positions, while separate heat controls let you turn the warming system on or off and adjust its level. A built-in USB port also provides convenient charging for compatible smart devices.

Medicare Coverage

The VivaLift!® Radiance PLR3955PW uses an electric seat-lift mechanism associated with HCPCS code E0627. Medicare may cover the medically necessary electric seat-lift mechanism portion of the chair when Medicare’s coverage requirements are met. The furniture or recliner portion itself is generally not covered.

Medicare requires the seat-lift mechanism to be medically necessary and prescribed as part of the treating practitioner’s course of treatment. Coverage criteria include specific medical and mobility requirements, such as certain individuals with severe arthritis of the hip or knee or a severe neuromuscular disease who cannot stand from a regular chair but can walk after reaching a standing position.

After the Medicare Part B deductible is met, the beneficiary generally pays 20% of the Medicare-approved amount for covered durable medical equipment, while Medicare generally pays the remaining approved portion. Actual coverage and costs depend on eligibility, medical necessity, documentation, supplier requirements, and Medicare’s final claim determination.
