The VivaLift!® Metro 2 PLR-925 is a comfortable power lift recliner designed to make sitting, relaxing, and standing easier. Its powered lift function gently raises the chair to help users transition to a standing position with less effort, making it especially helpful for seniors and individuals with limited mobility.
The Metro 2 offers True-Infinite positioning, which allows the backrest and footrest to operate independently. This gives you more flexibility to find a comfortable position for watching television, reading, resting, or taking a nap. A power headrest and adjustable lumbar support provide added comfort for the head, neck, shoulders, and lower back.
For easy everyday use, the PLR925M includes an ergonomic toggle remote with two programmable memory positions. A footrest extension provides extra room to stretch out, while the lithium battery backup helps keep the lift function available during a household power outage.

Medicare Coverage
The VivaLift!® Metro 2 PLR-925 uses an electric seat-lift mechanism associated with HCPCS code E0627. Medicare may provide coverage for the medically necessary seat-lift mechanism portion of the chair, but Medicare does not generally cover the furniture or recliner portion itself.
To qualify, Medicare requires specific medical-necessity criteria to be met. The seat-lift mechanism must be ordered as part of the treating practitioner’s course of treatment, and the beneficiary must meet Medicare’s applicable mobility and medical requirements. For example, Medicare’s coverage criteria include certain individuals with severe arthritis of the hip or knee or severe neuromuscular disease who are unable to stand from a regular chair but can walk after reaching a standing position.
When the equipment and beneficiary meet Medicare requirements, Medicare Part B generally pays 80% of the Medicare-approved amount after the Part B deductible is met, and the beneficiary is typically responsible for the remaining 20%. Coverage and out-of-pocket costs depend on medical necessity, documentation, Medicare eligibility, supplier participation, and the final claim determination.
